Glacier National Park Camping
Glacier National Park camping offers an opportunity to bring the adventure of your dreams to life. Wake up to an 8,000 foot glacier for a window view; see bear and mountain goats up close and personal; and hike into scenery like you've never imagined. You can experience nature at her finest with a choice of over 1,000 camp sites in 13 different campgrounds within the park. From primitive tent camping to campgrounds equiped with showers, flushable toilets, and RV hookups. This park offers something for everyone.
Two of the campgrounds listed below may be reserved in advance-Fish Creek and St. Mary. All others are on a first come first served basis. You may reserve spaces at these two by calling 1-800-365-2267 or visit http://reservations.nps.gov

Apgar Campground- Average $20/night- Open May to October- Located near lake McDonald with close proximity to Apgar Village, restaurants, etc. Has flushable toilets and a disposal station, but no showers.
Fish Creek Campground- Average $23/night- Open June to September- (May be reserved in advance) Near lake McDonald and has flushable toilets and a disposal station, no showers.
Bowman Lake Campground- Average $15/night- Open May to September- Near lake Bowman and is a primitive campground with no flush toilets or disposal station, no showers.
Many Glacier Campground- Average $20/night- Open May to September- Near Swiftcurrent lake and has flushable toilets, a disposal station, a store and public showers. Easy walk to tourist areas.
Rising Sun Campground- Average $20/night- Open May to September- Located on St. Mary lake with boat access close by. It has flushable toilets, a disposal station, and public showers.
Sprague Creek Campground- Average $20/night- Open May to September- This campground is located near lake McDonald and has flushable toilets and store available, no showers.
Saint Mary Campground- Average $23/night- Open May to September- (May be reserved in advance) Located near St. Mary Lake this campground has flushable toilets. Disposal station, showers and store nearby.
Two Medicine Campground- Average $20/night- Open May to September- Near Two Medicine Lake and has boat access to the lake. It also has flush toilets and a disposal station.
Kintla Lake Campground- Average $15/night- Open May to September, but primitive camping is available before and after dates listed, as long as road conditions permit. A beautiful but primitive camping area near Kintla Lake with no flush toilets, disposal station, showers, etc.
Logging Creek Campground- Average $10/night- Open July to September- A small primitive campground on the west side of the park. A hiking trail to Logging Lake is near by. No running water at the campground.
Quartz Creek Campground- Average $10/night- Open July to September- A primitive campground on the west side of Glacier Park and a great wilderness area for tent camping. No showers, waste disposal, etc.
Cut Bank Campground- Average $10/night- Open May to September- Another primitive camping area that is located on the east side of the park. A nice area for tent camping with lots of trees for shade. No showers, waste disposal, etc.
Backcountry camping is also available for the most daring and energetic. This means you have to pack/hike your stuff in to a lovely but primitive destination point. The nightly backcountry per person permit fees are: $5 for people age 16 and over, $3 for ages 8-15, and free for children 7 and under. Golden Age and Golden Access cardholders are $2.50 per person per night.
