Sitting on a high bluff over looking Upper Waterton Lake in Alberta, Canada is the Prince of Wales Hotel. It was built between 1926 and 1927 and named after Prince Edward. There are 86 rooms with accommodations that will make you feel like you are in a traditional British home complete with afternoon tea and crumpets. With a backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, this hotel provides stunning views and romantic appeal.
Swiftcurrent Motor Inn
The Swiftcurrent Motor Inn is one of the most economical inns. It is listed as one of the nations recognized Historic Places. The inn was built in 1933 and has 88 rooms. This is the perfect place for hikers with access to a number of trails. It also offers an Italian style restaurant and a camp store where you can replenish your supplies.
Many Glacier Hotel
An historic hotel that was built in 1910. Delightfully located at Mount Grinnell and along the Swiftcurrect Lake in the northeastern part of Glacier Park. The hotel has a Swiss flair and offers fine dining and many other great perks, including boat cruises and evening entertainment.
Rising Sun Motor Inn
Located close to St. Mary Lake sits another historical inn. Built in 1940 the Rising Sun Motor Inn hosts guests in its 72 rooms. There are Red bus tours along with a camp store and gift shop. This inn is also on the list of historical land marks. This particular inn is also one of the more economical places to stay inside the park.
Lake McDonald Lodge
Built in 1913 and a very good choice of places to lodge at Glacier National Park, the Lake McDonald Lodge is situated on the shores of the largest lake in Glacier National Park. It has aprox. 100 guest rooms counting the lodge, cottages and motor inn. The Lodge also hosts Red bus tours, boat cruises and a nice lakeside view. The main lodge was declared a National Historic Landmark and highlighted in the 2008 National Geographic™ Crown of the Continent Geotourism Map Guide.
 Lake McDonald Lodge
Apgar Village Lodge
Sitting close to West Glacier Village within the park and built on Lake McDonald, this economic lodge has 28 cabins and a number of motel style rooms as well. The two-story motor inn offers lovely views of Lake McDonald and panoramic mountain view. Kitchenettes are available, as well as 1 or 2 bedroom accommodations.
Glacier Park Lodge And Resort
Perhaps one of the finest of the Parks lodgings would have to be Glacier Park Lodge and Resort on the Montana side. This huge Lodge can sleep guests in over 160 rooms. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, small golf course, great restaurant and gift shop and a luxurious spa. Built in 1912, Glacier Park Lodge & Resort is located at the foot of Dancing Lady Mountain and is quite close to Glacier National Park.
Sperry Chalet
Sperry Chalet is located high in the mountains in an area that is great for hiking, photography, or sightseeing and is primarily for those who want to be closer to nature and prefer more rustic accomodations. The guest rooms are without lights, heat or water and the dining room has a wood stove and propane lights. Listed as a Historic Landmark, these buildings are made of rock and have survived their rugged environment intact since about 1914.
Granite Park Chalet
Built in the early 1900s to provide comfortable back country lodgings, this chalet is in a remote area only accessible by hiking trail. It was the last of the chalets built by the railroad and one of the only two high country chalets that have survived the years. This rustic lodge is also listed as a National Historic Landmark and continues to provide comfortable lodging for those looking to have an adventure. Truly a great place to get away and enjoy nature.
